Demographic, Taxable Value and Levy Information

 

Island County is 211 square miles, has 8 zip codes and is one of the state's most densely populated of the 39 counties. The population in 2004 was estimated at 78,500.

Taxable value has grown along with population. The total increase between 1994 and 2004 in the 4 school districts was $4,590,123,229.00. The percentage of taxable value growth in each district during that 10 years was:
