MESSAGE FROM THE ISLAND COUNTY ASSESSOR’S
OFFICE
As there will always be a never ending and healthy debate on taxation,
it behooves the Assessor to provide the taxpayer constituency
with good information to be used in that debate. As we began the
assembly of materials for this website, it became obvious, here
was an opportunity to disseminate information required to understand
some of the facets of our property tax program and the part played
in its administration by the Assessor.
This website will provide
taxpayers correct information as they are participants in that
healthy property tax debate.
The Assessor and his staff will be
happy to answer your questions and concerns. The office is taxpayer
centric and everyone is available, easily approachable, and taxpayer
friendly. We all recognize the need that the taxpayer be well
informed.
When good citizens become involved
in their government, good government becomes better.
