UNITED STATES REPRESENTATIVE, POSITION 2
Bart_Rick.jpg (10887 bytes) Rick Bart
(Prefers Republican Party)

This campaign for Congress (www.ElectRickBart.com) is going to be about trust; getting things done and leadership. When I became Sheriff, I learned quickly to gain and keep the trust of the people. Without it, the Sheriff’s office has nothing. All of our authority comes from the people and Congress is no different! Without our trust, Congress has nothing. Their authority comes from the people they serve.

Right now, most people don’t trust Congress. Why? Because nothing is getting done and our problems are going unsolved. They are not only going unsolved, they are getting worse! They are not working together to solve those problems. Instead, Congress keeps hiking our taxes, gas prices continue to soar, and record numbers of Americans are losing their homes to foreclosure.

Our country is a nation that consumes too much, saves too little and has to borrow huge amounts of money from abroad to finance our fiscal and trade deficits. Both political parties – Republican and Democrat – must begin to work together to solve this crisis now! The finger pointing and political posturing of the past several years has done nothing to resolve this very real threat. Inaction by Congress is threatening our quality of life.

Our next Congressman needs to be a team player and focus on the global economy and the need for government to make it easier for Americans to prosper and businesses of every size to flourish. We need to give our workforce the training and education they need to compete. We don’t need bigger government, more debt and increased taxes.

Sheriff Bart is a school volunteer and a Big Brother for Snohomish County Big Brothers and Big Sisters. He serves on the Mt. Baker National Forest Resource Advisory Committee, the Greater Trinity Children’s Learning Center and the Marysville Rotary.

Larsen_Rick.jpg (14874 bytes) Rick Larsen
(Prefers Democratic Party)

As your representative in Congress for the past eight years, I have built a record of accomplishments for Snohomish, Skagit, Island, San Juan, Whatcom and King County communities. This year, the Democratic Party nominated me for re-election so I can continue fighting for you in Congress and delivering results to strengthen our economy, support local law enforcement and make sure veterans get the support they deserve.

My number one goal is to invest in our community to create jobs. As a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure committee, I have delivered federal dollars for local roads and transit and improved safety, such as Hwy 2 improvements. Investing in roads, ferries and infrastructure strengthens our economy – for every $1 billion of federal funding invested in transportation roughly 47,000 new jobs are created.

Because many local veterans must travel all the way to Seattle for basic medical care, I pushed the VA to open a community-based outpatient clinic in Northwest Washington. The VA has opened a temporary clinic for our veterans and a permanent clinic is coming soon. I will continue my work to strengthen education opportunities for veterans and make sure we honor our commitment to those who have served.

As co-chair of the House Meth Caucus, I helped pass landmark legislation making it more difficult for drug dealers to get the ingredients they need to make meth. This bill greatly reduced the number of meth labs in Washington state and made our neighborhoods safer places to live. I will keep working in Congress to support local law enforcement and local efforts to fight drugs and crime.

I ask for your vote so I can continue representing you in Congress and delivering results for our community.

(Prefers Democratic Party)

I have been a lifelong Democrat, but now I am running as an Independent. I no longer agree with either party on many key issues. I am frustrated that they don’t understand some of the issues or they just promote “solutions” that will make their constituencies happy. My greatest frustration is their inability to get anything done. Partisan politics and personal conflicts have been the order of the day. I know of few jobs where you can make $165,000 a year, plus benefits, and not be held accountable for results.

I believe the reason our Representatives can accomplish nothing and still be re-elected year after year is simply that voters don't know who their Representatives are. Once in the voting booth, faced with a list of unfamiliar names, we vote our party ticket. As a result, incumbents are re-elected with little serious opposition and after years of "tenure" in the House they become both undefeatable and unaccountable. It is my pledge to you that, if elected, I will make enough “noise” and will frame issues so they are of interest and importance to you, that you will kick anyone out who is not performing to your expectations.

I get the sense that most Americans are unhappy with the direction this country is taking. If true, then it's time to inject some "new blood" into the House and start holding them accountable. Personally, that means that I will spell out for you what I intend to do. I will keep you informed regarding my progress, and I will expect you to hold me accountable. Thank you for your support.

I’m passionate about people. I want to help us through the conundrums that block our paths. I’m a deeply experienced businessman, with some higher education and much world travel and independent study. I own a small farm which I grow 50+ different types of crops on. Each is metaphorically like a different subject matter in the political world. Some grow well and are somewhat easier than others. Some require an extra degree of effort to have a fruitful harvest. People are from what they eat. We’re being challenged so deeply, on so many different levels, that we need to learn a new way of living that’s more sustainable. As an Organic farmer for the past 20 years, with 20 years of conventional food production, processing, packaging and preparation experience before that, I’m an authority about one of the most crucial conundrums we all face as a humanity. My book “Letters from Kik-I-allus” a Farmers Perspective, details what we need to do in the immediate future. I’m a man who spent time in the Army, narrowly missing the maniacal machinations in the Mekong Delta. I understand the need for a defense, yet I also understand the valor in turning the other cheek. Stepping back from a slap is not cowardice, it can be seen as a strength. I’m a smart strategist, whose vision is clearer than most. It’s why I believe you’ll give me your vote. Buying my book is the best way to fund my campaign and give a gift to a friend at the same time. Read it and pass it on. It beats the heck out of lambasting your inbox or mailbox. Sincerely, Glen S Johnson

GOVERNOR
Rossi_Dino.jpg (12212 bytes) Dino Rossi
(Prefers G.O.P. Party)

Dino Rossi – A governor who will get things done…for a change.

Governors in other states are controlling spending - but not here. While we tighten our belts, state government spends more money and faces a growing $2.5 billion deficit. The incumbent’s only answer: more tax increases.

Dino Rossi is a businessman. He’ll watch our tax dollars like a hawk and cut waste, because the answer to Washington’s challenges is not always to spend more tax money, but to spend our money wisely.

Washingtonians must be safe. The state government does not know the location of over 1300 convicted sex offenders who are loose in our cities and neighborhoods. Dino will end early release for violent offenders from prison. Dino will require the close and constant monitoring of sex offenders who have served their sentence.

Other Governors are reforming education and helping prepare students for global competition. More money is spent in education each year here, but is it spent effectively to give our children what they need to be competitive in life? Dino Rossi will replace the WASL with America’s best standardized test and require students to pass a fair and rigorous test. The incumbent still supports the failed WASL test with no math and science requirement.

Other states are making progress fixing traffic congestion. Dino Rossi has a specific plan to fix nine major traffic chokepoints without new taxes and complete transportation projects on time. Here, the incumbent raised gas taxes to the nation’s highest but commute times just get longer, and many critical transportation projects are still being studied by “blue ribbon” committees on a drawing board.

Spending more yet getting less is no way to run a family budget, a business or a state government.

Let’s fix some problems…elect Dino Rossi.

I believe the number one issue in the 2008 Governor election should be the illegal and unethical election practices used by former Washington State Attorney General/current Washington State Governor Christine “The Cover-Up Queen” Gregoire.

Fact: Former Washington State Attorney General/current Washington State Governor Christine “The Cover-Up Queen” Gregoire manipulates/rigs elections.

How?

Fact: One way is to illegally and/or unethically manipulate/rig the information that is supposed to be made available to the voters.

How?

Fact: One way is to spend public dollars to pay state employees to keep quiet about scandals that could damage Christine “The Cover-Up Queen” Gregoire’s political machine. (Basically, brokering “whistle-blower silence for taxpayer cash” deals.)

The Brian Ebersole Story

Fact: Brian Ebersole lived in Tacoma.

Fact: On November 2, 1982, Ebersole (Democrat) was elected to the Washington State legislature.

Fact: When Ebersole was in the legislature in the early 90’s, he was sued by state employees who stated Ebersole had coerced them into illegally campaigning for him on taxpayer time.

Fact: (Then) Washington State Attorney General Christine “The Cover-Up Queen” Gregoire (Democrat) “investigated” that scandal by paying the employees almost $1 million in taxpayer money to settle the cases and then Gregoire tried to keep the court records sealed from the public.

In my four years as your Governor, we’ve tackled tough challenges head-on and produced results for people in every corner of our state.

Strengthening Our Economy

When I took office we had a 2.2 billion dollar deficit and one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. Since then we have balanced the budget, cut red tape for small businesses, created over 200,000 new jobs, and now have the third fastest growing economy in the nation.

Protecting Our Children

Faced with overcrowded prisons, we charted a new direction to protect our families. We built 4,000 new prison beds, required electronic ankle bracelets and increased jail sentences for sex offenders, and started a DNA registry for sex crimes.

When I took office the state was threatening to slash healthcare from 46,000 low-income children. Cutting kids off healthcare is morally wrong. We stopped those cuts and instead, expanded healthcare coverage to 84,000 additional children.

We also restored funding for teachers’ salaries and to lower class size, and passed the strictest toy safety standards in the country to protect our kids against dangerous chemicals.

Creating a Cleaner Future

Washington is leading the country in efforts to fight global warming. We’re one of the largest producers of renewable energy in a growing “green” economy, and we created the Puget Sound Partnership to clean up the Sound for future generations.

As we look to the future, challenges lie ahead, including those posed by failed national economic policies. But these past four years have proven we’re not afraid of tough challenges.

I ask for your support this primary election so we can continue to set the bar high for the quality of life in our state, meet these challenges head-on, and produce real results that improve the lives of every community and every family in Washington.

Our Climate Crisis demands profound cultural change now. As in childbirth, pain will attend this change. We are birthing ourselves into a world radically different from what middle-class Industrial World citizens have known for a century.

We have badly abused our Earth. Now, the Earth is changing in non-linear ways. We cannot avoid this change. Our choice is to change voluntarily, or be compelled by our Earth to change.

Those leaders who sell the lethal notion that we can ‘prosper’ and avoid painful Climate Crisis change are false leaders. Reject them.

Our governor must convene a Climate Emergency session of the legislature now to enact emergency World War II-type laws:

• Divert Boeing to manufacture of solar and wind power equipment. • Vastly increase public transport. Poor ride free. • Outlaw Single Occupancy Vehicles, except where no public transport exists. • Impose aggressive, corporate carbon taxes. • Assess steep, progressive individual carbon taxes. Poor exempted. • Establish industry, regional and governmental carbon caps. • Outlaw carbon trading. • Begin personal carbon rationing. • Channel carbon tax funds to poor, offsetting high food, housing and transportation costs. • Carbon taxes fund global Rainforest Protection. • Demand full withdrawal from Iraq. Divert funds to climate programs. • Outlaw coal fired power plants. • Outlaw crop based biofuels production and use. • Provide energy retro-fit for all buildings. • Adopt new Land Use Law. Require density. Stop sprawl.   • Protect Washington trees as ‘common good,’ critically aiding our climate.

My goal is to empower the people to dictate to our government their needs and how those needs are to be addressed. That is what a democracy is about. Instead, I see the will of the people being neglected and government dictating to them. I believe in a less intrusive and smaller government.

I have seen abuses of property, parental, and personal rights by our government. There is a lack of financial accountability and mismanagement of government programs without any consequences for failures. Special interest groups own our government and it is time for the people to take back their rights to govern themselves.

We need to rid ourselves of unfair and regressive taxes that only affect a segment of our society. I want to reform public and higher education and make it available to everyone at anytime or place without cost. We need to combat pollution and clean up our environment. I want to stimulate our economy and be pro-business. We need to insure that all our citizens have affordable housing, food, power, and health care. We need to develop an emergency plan for major disasters that could be used in the event that a large number of our population is affected.

There is not room to address every issue here but, I hope you will go to my campaign website for more information and clarification before you vote. Please become an informed voter and do not be swayed by high dollar promotional schemes that are full of empty rhetoric and half-truths. You are the employer and we candidates need to work for you. So check our education and experience as well as our values and the organizations to which we belong. If you don’t see these basic elements for employment, be wary.

Because I feel Washington State should be leading the Nation in promoting a Spiritual Civilization based on holistic medicine, alternative energy, affordable housing, relevant education, a dynamic economy, bio-diversity, world development and meaningful access to justice, I respectfully propose my “FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS” PLAN OF ACTION.

FREEDOM FROM DISEASES: Thanks to public health (including comprehensive universal pro-active health care) and therapeutic freedoms legislation, billions of dollars could be saved while all would have meaningful access to physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

FREEDOM FROM POLLUTION, WASTE AND WARS: With a firm commitment to develop clean, renewable energies (solar, wind, hydrogen, tidal, geothermal), painful oil wars would be less justifiable. With the resources saved, peace and prosperity would be better constructed.

FREEDOM FROM EXCESSIVE MORTGAGES, DEBTS AND HOMELESSNESS: Thanks to compassionate solidarity and eco-construction technology (strawbale, wood, clay), a sound family house can be built for under 45,000 dollars.

FREEDOM FROM IGNORANCE, ALIENATION AND RECESSION: With stronger schools and universities, a dynamic modern economy based on the internet revolution, science, business, corporate intelligence, tax reform, coupled with sustainable communities, the elderly, youth and working force would better fulfill their dreams and basic needs.

FREEDOM FROM HUNGER, DESERTS AND WORLD MISERY: Thanks to ethical trade, the doubling of exports, tree planting, vineyards, organic agriculture, health restaurants and the distribution of “superfoods” (including but not limited to amazing dopamine-producing raw vegan chocolate mousses), we would find solutions to world hunger and deserts would flower.

FREEDOM FROM INJUSTICE AND TYRANNY. With massive restructuring and financing of our legal system; the building of human rights and duties “enlightenment” centers in each town; the enactment of public expense for modest-income parties who have non-frivolous civil and administrative cases, including for electoral candidates, Washingtonians would be empowered and this State would become a lighthouse for the International Community.

Tudor_Christopher.jpg (14830 bytes) Christopher A. Tudor
(States No Party Preference)

I am running for public office because I believe in a better Washington. For too many years the two party system in this state has corrupted the ideals of our democracy with conflicted party and special interest loyalties. The candidates have lost sight of the voters that elect them and empower them to lead on behalf of the people.

Classic party politics have stalled any movement on issues that matter to the average Washingtonian. Transportation, Education, and the Environment have suffered over the past four years. Both parties have proposed plans which do not solve problems but stall resolutions. It is time for government to become innovative. Together, we must solve the problems that exist today so we, as a community and state, can move forward. The talent and resources in this state position us well to become a global leader in the three above-mentioned areas. We need a leader who will leverage our current strengths and efficiencies to address our issues without creating more bureaucracy through the party system.

Fair taxes are one key to making the system work.

Our roads and mass transit have not kept pace with the growth of the state. Our education system has failed to meet the expectations of parents and our community. Our environment is steadily declining with the strain of increasing population. The state is losing its soul.

We must unite, innovate, and become who we all know we can be. We can be a world-class leader in the issues that we as Washingtonians care about.

It is time to move the bar to par excellence. We collectively have the knowledge and capital to accomplish great things. We just need leadership that will take us there without the influences of special interest money or party platforms.

Vote Tudor!

Honesty, Ethics and integrity, these values have been missing in government far too long and it’s time to make a change!

There are many issues that our state government must address during the governor’s next term. Washington voters must decide whether they should bring back to Olympia those candidates and incumbents who claim their solutions to these issues will fix the problems. The sad truth is that they have spent their careers in government and are an integral part of the problem themselves.

The people of Washington are my number one priority and I pledge that your voice will be heard and acted upon while I am your Governor. I will be the Governor for all Washingtonians. The time for you to have a real voice in Olympia is now.

I am an outspoken critic of waste and fraud in government and work tirelessly to remind our state government that they work for the people of Washington. For too long our government in Olympia has felt they do not have to listen to the people. How many times did we vote for $30.00 license tabs before we were finally heard? Do we remember that we voted to limit spending in our government? Yet the legislature, with the blessing of the governor, has continually found ways to circumvent that law.

I am also passionate about the children of our state. I am appalled by the growing trend of acceptance from the media regarding sexual abuse of our school children by members of the educational profession. The children of Washington are the lifeblood of the future. They are the Governors, Legislators, Judges and Presidents of tomorrow and we must do everything in our power to protect our children.

I pledge to all Washingtonians that I will always work for you. Vote!

I am on a mission to assert Washington State leadership for other States joining for positive changes.

If elected Governor I will do or promote the following with help from legal experts.

1. WITHDRAW WASHINGTON NATIONAL GUARD FROM IRAQ IMMEDIATELY. The unfair Iraqi occupation was engineered by New Conservative for Israel. Request for Freedom Of Information Act November 14, 2005 with their answer November 21, 2005 control number COPS2006004 is still pending to prove evidence.

2. AMEND CONSTITUTION, article 1, section 8, paragraph 11, so War Power Act be delegated to States Legislators not Congress.

3. AMEND CONSTITUTION, article 1, section 8, paragraph 3, so individual States can compete for overseas businesses without interference from Federal Government. I will lead trade mission to Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Syria etc.

4. PROMOTE ONE STATE SOLUTION FOR PALESTINIAN- ARAB ISRAELI CONFLICT, so Jews, Christians and Muslims can live in Secular State like ours.

Other issues are in my platform.

Finally I would like to sound the alarm, that AIPAC and other Jewish Zionist Lobbies who represent less than 2% of American People are using the United States through their mighty power in the News Media, Financial Institutions, Hollywood and Entertainment Industry, Both Political Parties, Congress and the White House as Proxy to wage war against any country perceived to be threat to Israel, like in Iraq. This will lead us into conflicts for generations with Arab and Muslim World. This has got to stop!

This Movement Campaign to get back our country from being influenced by foreign governments. This way we honor our founding father, George Washington’s farewell speech 1796, “Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of the Republic Government.”

Today is a start in an effort to take back our government and return it to the people. A time to put a stop to the government's waste of THE PEOPLES tax dollars and put our focus back on education, health care, alternative energy and the environment. A time to put a stop to the injustice to families in this state by holding public officials accountable for the job the people pay them to do.

TIME FOR TALK IS OVER; IT IS TIME TO TAKE ACTION.

What about constitutional issues? We need to protect those rights or your elected official will continue to take them away. It is time to put into office a leader that is not afraid to take the necessary action to do what is right for the people.

A leader that is a true patriot that stands by the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION and the men and women whom fight and die defending it.

Have we forgotten our Pledge of Allegiance? “Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all”. Have we forgotten “by the people for the people”?

Have we forgotten the importance of the CONSTITUTION, THE BILL OF RIGHTS and what they stand for? Families are the cornerstone of the strength of this country.

My name is James White and I will fight for the people of this great state. I will defend the CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOMS that we are guaranteed. When elected I will do everything in my power to eliminate the waste of your tax dollars.

It is now time to lead again at a global level and a higher standard.

VOLUNTEER AND DONATE NOW

Join our efforts to elect James White for Governor.

If you elect me Lt. Governor of Washington, I will support open and transparent government conducting the official duties fairly and honestly.

I will use public service to promote what is best in Washington.

I have lived in Asia and worked in international trade. Trade and tourism offer great benefits to the people of Washington. Whether they grow apples or wheat, bottle wine, build airplanes or write code, people in these businesses are the backbone of Washington. I will work to keep them strong.

You may have noticed that when any problem surfaces, Olympia mandates expensive programs.

My community experience has shown me that we have the opportunity to incorporate the power of volunteerism into our state. Using technology and thousands of willing volunteer organizations, we can create a statewide database that matches willing volunteers and those who need our help – the aged, the homeless, at-risk youth, every good cause.

Let’s put the energy of Washingtonians to work now.

I’m running for Lieutenant Governor to work with you to renew Washington. It is time to change one party rule in Olympia and embrace diversity and balanced opinion.

I ask for your support and vote.

As a member of the Constitution Party, I believe in placing sound governing principles ahead of politics, pragmatism, and the popularity contest that electioneering has devolved into.

Contrary to what some would have us believe, government is not an amoral entity. Every person elected to office will govern according to the influence of their personal moral values and spiritual beliefs, therefore, it is merely a question of whose values will be imposed.

I acknowledge that our rights come from God and are not dispensed by government. The proper function of government is to safeguard those rights, not regulate them.

I support small, unintrusive government, strictly limited to the role delegated to it by the Washington State and US Constitutions. All decisions made while in office will be based on these documents and Biblically prescribed moral values designed to protect the fabric of our society.

Though some may bristle at the thought of bringing together Christian belief and affairs of civil government, I firmly believe, as did the Rev. Charles G. Finney, that “God will bless or curse this nation (and our state) according to the course Christians take in politics.”

It is time to take a stand.

I would like to thank the 1,193,000 Washingtonians who voted for me in the 2004 General Election. Your support for the Republican ideals I stand for won us the Primary nomination against two other fine opponents. Last time you voted for me, I was campaigning on a “real world” jobs creation platform; and in our State, jobs were created. But in your case, did you personally find a job, or better job, than the one you hopefully had 4 years ago?

With Dino Rossi and myself back on the ballot again, we have a chance to correct the mistakes made since that November Election day, four years ago.

Having served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972, I have resided in Grays Harbor and Thurston counties during the past 36 years, since my honorable discharge.

I was with the Department of Social and Health Services for 23 years.

Since my DSHS departure 6½ years ago, I have been a Small Business owner, Entrepreneur and private investor.

This election, I am the only candidate with a plan to “End Homelessness (in Washington State) NOW!”

SECRETARY OF STATE

(Prefers Republican Party)

Since becoming Secretary of State, Sam Reed has worked diligently to strengthen electoral integrity, make government more accessible, and preserve our heritage.

Throughout his eight years in office, Sam led major election reforms: Consolidating 39 separate county registration systems into one statewide database to remove duplicate voters, felons, and deceased voters; moving the primary to August so those overseas can receive their ballots in a timely manner; ending ballot enhancements; and auditing county election departments.

Sam kept fighting for your right to vote without being restricted to a party, and was ultimately supported by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Thanks to Sam, you can now go online to register to vote, start a business, or research your family genealogy. He saved and enhanced Washington’s oldest institution, the State Library, and he started the nation’s first state digital archive.

“We have more work to do to restore trust and confidence in the elections process and preserve our history. In the next four years I pledge to bring a new level of transparency and access to state government, and I will continue to lead the fight for fair and accurate elections while protecting voter rights and privacy.” –Sam Reed

Top 2: The Top 2 Primary, now, ensures our right to vote for ANY candidate in primaries. Speaking as chairman of a minor party; this is, basically, an egalitarian system.

Initiatives: Powerful forces in the state are doing everything they can to overturn "Top 2" and to make the Initiative system a toothless tiger. They have been thwarted, thus far, thankfully. If elected, I will defend "Top 2" and fight against any attempt to make initiatives harder to get on the ballot.

The Ballot: Surely; the same powerful forces will use this election to bring about their goals. The voters must distinguish which candidates for Secretary of State support Top 2/Initiatives and which don't.

Democracy: It's simple. No v
