COMPREHENSIVE
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN
(CEMP)
The Island
County CEMP is based on the State of Washington CEMP in format
and content. Both documents were aligned with the National
Response Plan (NRP). In January 2008 the National Response
Framework core document (NRF) was published as the replacement
for the NRP.
The NRF brings structural changes to the layout of the
CEMP. There have been three changes and up-dates issued for the CEMP and with the size and complexity of the NRF changes, it became more practical to revise the entire CEMP rather than issue an additional change.
The revision as Edition 2 is planned to be submitted for BOICC adoption in December 2009..
The following files are all draft sections of the proposed Edition 2 CEMP. Comments, corrections, suggested changes should be documented and forwarded to the Director, Island County DEM at dem@co.island.wa.us
