ISLAND COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH - APRIL 13, 1998

The Island County Board of Health convened in Regular l Session at 11:15 a.m.

on April 13, 1998, in the Island County Courthouse Annex, Coupeville, Wa.

Board of Health members present included: Acting Chairman; Tom Shaughnessy, and Mike Shelton, Member. Others Present: Tim McDonald, Health Services Director; Jan Dahl, Assessment Coordinator; and Marshall Bronson representing Community Health Advisory Board (CHAB).

The Board of Health, on a unanimous motion, reappointed Chris Garden, Deputy, Island County Sheriff’s Department, to serve as a member of the CAB for a term in Position #3 to March 8, 2001.

Mr. Bronson reported that at the monthly CHAB meeting work was done on finalizing the working relationship between CHAB and CHAT [Camano Island] and in doing that came to the conclusion there would gradually be responses for the health plan which would have to be tailored to different requirements throughout the island. As part of CHAB’s continuing development program a Youth and Family Summit is planned for Saturday, May 9^th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The hope is to come up with a final set of priorities to address the youth and family questions, from which to develop a particular program design to meet the requirements.

is scheduled for May 11^th at 11:15 a.m.
