County commissioners will meet in Special Sessions as outlined below:

13, 2000 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Island
County Courthouse Annex, Coupeville,
Wa.
Purpose: Representatives from Washington State
Association of Counties [WSAC] and
Washington State Association of County Officials [WACO] will meet with Island County Commissioners and Elected Officials to explain
results of the recent legislative
session; distribution of the replacement revenues lost as a result of I-695;
discuss efforts necessary in the next
legislative session to continue the
funding; and discuss some long-term plans regarding future funding for
counties.
June
14, 2000 Noon – 1:30 p.m. Oak Harbor City Hall, Oak Harbor, Wa.
Purpose: Joint meeting with Elected Officials from
Island County, City of Oak Harbor, City of Langley, Town of Coupeville,
and Port Districts to continue to discuss formation of an organization of
Elected Officials in Island County; adopt a regular meeting schedule; and
receive a legislative update.
