BOARD OF ISLAND COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MINUTES OF MEETING

SPECIAL SESSION – OCTOBER 27, 2004

The Board of Island County Commissioners met in special session immediately following the RTPO meeting, shortly after Noon for a no-host luncheon, held in the Island County Courthouse Annex, Commissioners’ Hearing Room, 1 N.E. 6^th Street, Coupeville, Wa. The special session was called to allow County Commissioners’ participation in a joint Council of Governments meeting with Elected Officials from Island County, City of Oak Harbor, City of Langley, Town of Coupeville, and Port Districts.

Attendance:

Patricia Cohen, Mayor, City of Oak Harbor

Neil Colburn, Mayor, City of Langley

Nancy Conard, Mayor, Town of Coupeville

Wm. L. McDowell, Member, Board of County Commissioners

Ed Van Patten, Port of Coupeville

Mike Shelton, Member , Board of County Commissioners

Lynae Slinden, Port of South Whidbey

Very brief meeting. Received from Mayor Conard a copy of the previously discussed revisions (dated 1/22/03) of proposed by-laws and articles of association for the Council of Governments. Members were asked to review and comment at the next meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 12:20 p.m.
