The Board of Island County Commissioners met in Special Session on October 25, 2005 beginning at 4:00 p.m., held in the Island County Courthouse Annex, Planning Director’s Office, 1 N.E. 6^th Street, Coupeville, Wa. Mike Shelton, Chairman, and William J. Byrd, Member, were present. Wm. L. McDowell, Member, participated via telephone.

Chairman Shelton announced the purpose of the Special Session was to conduct an Executive Session to discuss with legal counsel representing the County pending litigation, as allowed under RCW 42.30.110 (1) (i). He anticipated that the session would last approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours and did not expect that the Board would make an announcement afterwards in open public session.

With no further business, the Chairman adjourned the meeting on conclusion of the Executive Session at 5:30 p.m. The Board will meet next on October 31, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. in special session. The next regularly-scheduled meeting is on November 7, 2005 at 9:30 a.m.
