The Board of Island County Commissioners met in Special Session on Monday, October 31, 2005 for the following purposes:

• 10:00 a.m. Tour hosted by Marcia Nelson, Island County Master Gardeners, of the Master Gardeners Educational Garden at Greenbank Farm.

• 2:00 p.m. Executive Session

The Board of Island County Commissioners met at 9:00 a.m. in Conference Room #218, County Administration Building 1 NE 7^th Street, Coupeville, WA, with Mike Shelton, Chairman, and William J. Byrd, Member, present. Commissioner Wm. L. McDowell absent. The following vouchers/warrants were approved for payment by unanimous motion of the Board: Voucher (War.) #224638……..$800.00.

The Board of Island County Commissioners met at 10:00 a.m. to participate in a tour hosted by Marcia Nelson, Island County Master Gardeners, of the Master Gardeners Educational Garden at Greenbank Farm, located at 765 Wonn Road, Greenbank, WA. Mike Shelton, Chairman, and William J. Byrd, Member, present. Commissioner Wm. L. McDowell absent.

The Board met at 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of meeting in Executive Session. Mike Shelton, Chairman, and William J. Byrd, Member, were present; Wm. L. McDowell, Member, participated via telephone.

Chairman Shelton announced the purpose of the Special Session was to conduct an Executive Session to discuss with legal counsel representing the County pending litigation, as allowed under RCW 42.30.110 (1) (i). He anticipated that the session would last approximately one hour and did not expect that the Board would make an announcement afterwards in open public session.
