The Board of Island County Commissioners met in Special Session on Friday, October 27, 2006 beginning at 11:00 a.m., held in the County Administration Building, Second Floor, Conference Room #218, 1 N. E. 7^th Street, Coupeville, WA. 98239. Present were Commissioners William J. Byrd, and Mike Shelton. Chairman Wm. L. McDowell, was absent.

The purpose of the Special Session was to approve documents associated with the acquisition of the Wilbert Trail Property and approve the issuance of a warrant in the amount of $187,000 for the conservation easement.

On motion of Commissioner Shelton, seconded by Commissioner Byrd, the Board approved and authorized the Chairman's signature on documents associated with the closing of the Wilbert Trail property acquisition as may be required, and approved issuance of a warrant in the amount of $187,000 for the conservation easement.

There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the special session of the Board adjourned at 11:03 a.m. The next regular meeting of the Board will be on November 6, 2006 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
