The Board of Island County Commissioners met in Special Session on Monday, August 28, 2006 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Special Session was held in the County Administration Building, 1 N. E. 7^th Street, Coupeville, Wa., Conference Room #218. Wm. L. McDowell, Chairman; William J. Byrd, Member, and Mike Shelton, Member, were present.

Opening the Special Session, Chairman McDowell announced the purpose of the Special Session was to conduct an Executive Session as allowed under RCW 42.30.110(1)(b) to consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase. He anticipated that the Executive Session would last approximately one-half hour.

There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the Special Session adjourned at 10:30 a.m. on conclusion of the Executive Session, the Board will convene in Regular Session at 11:00 a.m.
