The Board of Island County Commissioners met in Special Session Wednesday, August 9, 2006 beginning at 1:30 p.m., held in the County Administration Building, 1 N. E. 7^th Street, Coupeville, Wa., Commissioners Offices.

Convening the Special Session at 1:30 p.m. as scheduled, Chairman McDowell announced that the purpose of the special session was to meet in Executive Session as allowed under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) to discuss with legal counsel potential litigation. He anticipated that the Executive Session would last approximately 15 minutes and that there potentially could be an announcement made afterwards in open public session.

On conclusion of the Executive Session, the Board returned to open public session and took the following action:

By unanimous motion the Board agreed to draft and sign a letter in response to the e-mail letter received from T. R. Camano on August 7, 2006.

Special Session adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
