    Environmental Health Assessment Team Roles & Responsibilities

STEERING COMMITTEE:
- Oversight of EHAT
- Establish bylaws for EHAT
- Members of EHAT
- Attend EHAT meetings
- Develop agenda for EHAT 

meetings
- Meet following EHAT meetings
- Receive CDC progress reports
- Chair and Vice-Chair of
EHAT are on committee
- Membership fulfills
committee obligation for CHAB 
and EHAT
- Report monthly to CHAB on
EHAT accomplishments

 

 

EHAT MEMBERS:

- Should represent the 

community

- Should be interested in the 

"big picture"

- Attendance is important at monthly meetings

- Members "do the work" of 

the group

- Serve on working groups or 

task forces

- Analyze and collect data and prioritize EH issues

- Develop action plan and/or recommendations

- Vote on issues brought before 

the EHAT

- Provide input on future 

meeting agendas

- Establish EHAT ground

 rules

CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR

OF EHAT:

- Members of Steering Committee

- Attend Steering Committee

Meetings (held in conjunction

with EHAT meetings)

- Attend EHAT meetings

- Chair lead the EHAT meetings (Vice-Chair will do this in Chair's absence)

- Work with the working groups/task forces

- Work with EHAT to

 establish ground rules

ICPH Staff:

- Meet obligations of the grant

- Provide public health expertise

- Identify experts to present

scientific information
