The fee for the flu shots is $30.00 Persons
with Medicare Part B or Medicaid medical coupons will not be charged
for flu or pneumonia shots, but it is imperative that we see your
card or medical coupons at the time of service. Please be sure to bring your card or
medical coupon with you to the clinic.
For those interested in the Pneumococcal Pneumonia Vaccine: This
immunization will also be available for $55.00 Pneumonia shots are also covered by
Medicare/ Medicaid. The Center of Disease Control recommends this vaccine once in a
lifetime, and it is recommended for people age 65 and older. Those who are younger than 65
and have a chronic illness are more likely to get pneumonia and should consult with their
physician.
*The Naval Hospital continues to
offer
influenza vaccine for beneficiaries. We also are offering the herpes
zoster vaccine for beneficiaries over age 50 while supplies last.
