ICPH

Maternity and Parenting Support Services are available to all pregnant women on Medicaid (medical coupons).

Visits are made in the privacy of your own home or in one of our offices. Special arrangements can be made for women who prefer to meet in other locations.

Areas of Program Assistance:

Pregnancy & Postpartum 

· learn about how your baby is growing inside your womb.

· learn about health practices that promote good health for you & your family

· learn how to prepare for labor and your baby's birth

· learn about good nutrition for you and your baby during pregnancy & for yourself after the baby is born

· learn about warning signs of pregnancy

· learn about the changes during the postpartum period and how to care for yourself.

Newborn             

· newborn visit to support early parenting

· learn about newborn characteristics and behavior and how that affects parenting

· learn about feeding your baby after birth

· learn about breastfeeding your baby and get support for breastfeeding

Parenting / Family           

· learn about positive discipline of children

· learn ways to cope with difficult conditions in your family and personal life

· have questions answered about growth & development

· receive support to make lifestyle changes that promote healthier and happier families.

· learn how stress effects your health, your family & your ability to parent and to find new ways to cope with stress.
