How Applications are
Processed
The
typical process flow for applications submitted for job openings
in Island County is as follows:
- Applications are accepted through the closing date. If
an application is received postmarked on the day of closing
it will be accepted.
- Applications
received or postmarked after the closing date will not be
accepted.
- After
the closing date, all applications are forwarded to the applicable
department. The department reviews the applications and identifies
the most qualified individuals who are then scheduled for
interviews. Following the interview process, the most likely
candidates will have their references checked and finally
an offer is made
-
After
a candidate accepts the position and reports to work, letters
are sent by Human Resources to all applicants who took the
time to apply, notifying them that the position has been filled
and thanking them for applying.
