| Otis
(6 yrs, Boxer), Oak Harbor
Otis
simply HATES dog doo and starts tippy toeing as soon as
he picks up the scent of a pile ahead. It usually starts
on the paved walk way to the beach, but gets worse the
closer we get to kids playing with buckets and shovels
in the sand. I never realized how rude people were with
their dogs until I started walking Otis. It is everywhere.
Otis thinks you are doing a good job, but the bags could
be a bit larger for him. |

(2yr, Lab mix), Oak Harbor
I
love to go for walks, my dad will grab the leash and I
know it is time for our walk. I keep trying to bring my
baby because she needs to get out too but dad won’t let
me bring her. I think it’s because he is worried when
we get to the park my baby will get messy since not everyone
brings bags like we do. It never fails, I start walking
and before I know it, I have to go… Dad is pretty patient
considering he is the one who has to pickup after me,
he brings several cuz he double bags… but normally he
doesn’t have to do this more than once. I wish others
would do the same, then maybe dad would let me bring my
baby |

Although
sitting on the potty, Zeke has yet to learn to use it!
He does, however, know how to use the computer. He is
a fledgling member of the Happy Hounds dog 4H club and
a star pupil of Carol Gannaway’s K9 Potentials. His best
friend and dog bed companion is a 7-year old Lab named
Maggie. |

Keeva
(8 yrs, Shetland Sheepdog), Oak Harbor
We
call her Keeva the Diva. What a special dog she is, posssessing
both beauty and brains. We also call her the Pillow Princess
because she must put her head on something to sleep. She
definitely enriches our lives. I once heard someone say,
"If you can look at a dog and not feel vicarious
excitement and affection, you must be a cat!"

| Bug
(1.5 yrs, Chihuahua/Pug), Oak Harbor
Bug,
what is there to say? A true southern gentlemen, Bug enjoys
the simpler things in life. Car rides are one of his favorite
things. He loves the breeze in his ears! He never tires
of his squeaky ball. He has three, but he knows which
one is his favorite. A smart one, no doubt, he can pick
up simple tricks very quickly. We all swear he understands
words. Soon he will be picking up his own poo! If you
see us at Cloverdale Dog Park, be sure to say hello!

Knox
(6 yrs, Golden Retriever), Oak Harbor
Knox
is a 106 lb goofy Golden who absolutely loves people
& children. Best known for sneaking licks of
any unclad piggy toes as he slyly strolls by the
couch, breathing hot breath on our legs while we
eat our dinner--hoping of course, that he'll get
lucky, and for his gentle, loving demeanor while
being surrounded by two cats, two women, and an
energetic 5-year old boy. Ahh…
|
Knox
loves the outdoors & enjoys going for walks in the neighborhood.
Playing catch with a soggy tennis ball, digging holes that
lead under the back deck right after they are filled back
in, rolling in the grass & dirt immediately after a
day at the groomers, and wresting in the backyard are some
things Knox can't resist. |

Monte
(8yrs, Collie mix), Oak Harbor
Monte
is a wonderful, sweet, loving and smart dog. He's so smart
that he's trained me to feed him water him and clean up
after him. That means even scooping his poop! Monte enjoys
going to the dog park, walking on Whidbey Island's beaches
and hiking. He's an active boy that loves to be out and
about meeting new people, but at the end of the day he
just wants tu curl up on my lap for a snuggle.

Dan
(4 months, German Shorthair Pointer),
Oak Harbor
Dan
loves to run and play. He's still exploring his world,
and what a big world it is for such a little puppy. Someday
he'll be all grown up and able to take care of himself…but
I'll still be scooping his poop. |

Doogie
(4 yr old, ???), Clinton
Doogie
has got to be one of the most unique canines that we have
had the privilege of owning. We and others have had many
a guess as to how many breeds were used, Scotty, Corgi,
Lab, who knows. Suffice it to say that when Doogie was
created they used all the left over parts. Left overs
or not he is a wonderful companion with a real zest for
life |

| Sage
(2yr old, German Shorthair Pointer),

Sage
loves to run and play! Her favorite sport is fetch, she'll
play all day if she can find someone to throw the ball
for her. When she's not playing fetch she is snuggled
up to her human. |
