Camano & Coupeville Sites

Minimum Charge: $11.00 up to 50 pounds. Incudes base fee of $7.28/vehicle and 3.6% utility tax.

Municipal Solid Waste (MSW): $115/ton (pro-rated) plus base fee of $7.28/vehicle and 3.6% utility tax. 
Regular household trash not over 6 feet in dimension. 

 

Construction, Demolition or Bulky Wastes: $136.00/ton (pro-rated ) plus base fee of $7.28/vehicle and 3.6% utility tax. 
Wood, windows, insulation, and bulky items such as stuffed chairs.  These wastes create light long-haul loads from County facilities for which the County is charged extra. 

Hard to Handle: $170.00/ton (pro-rated ) plus base fee of $7.28/vehicle and 3.6% utility tax.
Over 6 feet or requiring special handling. Examples:  mattresses, box springs, couches, concrete, trailers, boats…

Yard Waste: $80.00/ton (pro-rated ) plus base fee of $7.28/vehicle and 3.6% utility tax.
Prunings, brush, branches, leaves, grass.  Please do not include plastic bags, flower pots, lumber or garbage in the yard waste pile.

 

Metal: Regular solid waste fees apply. 

Appliances: $22.50 each.   

Tires: $7.50 each on or off the rim
Tires for wheels that are over 18” are charged by weight, e.g., Semi tractor/trailer tires, farm tractor tires, other heavy equipment tires.

North Whidbey & Bayview Sites

First Can or Large Bag   $11.00  

Each Additional Can or Large Bag $3.50   

Based upon a 32 gallon can or bag - about 40-50 pounds each

Maximum size:  4 feet in any dimension

Loose loads will be interpreted to accommodate the “per can” fees

Large loads and bulky items are accepted at the Solid Waste Complex near Coupeville.

Uncovered Loads & Litter

Island County complies with the State law that requires counties to impose a fee for uncovered or unsecured loads.
(RCW Chapter 70.93.)
