Mark C. Brown
Mark
Brown was raised on a wheat ranch in rural Eastern Oregon that
has been in his family for over 80 years. After graduating high
school, Mark attended the University of Oregon where he received
a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. Following college graduation
Mark became a commissioned officer in the United States Navy.
Upon completion of his military service obligation, Mark joined
the Washington State Patrol in June of 1974. For over 30 years
Mark served the citizens of the State of Washington primarily
in Kitsap and Island County . While in Kitsap County he met and
married his wife, Sandy. They have two grown children, Robbie
and Christian. Both boys received their formal education in Oak
Harbor , where the family has lived since 1994. Robbie is a pursuing
a career as an officer in the United States Navy and Christian
is currently attending college at the University of Washington
. Sandy is employed as a dispatcher at I-Com, the 911 center in
Oak Harbor .
